
Historical Studies
In this section of our website we will be presenting a series of studies on various historical studies relating to the development of Christianity, especially from a historical point of view.

The first of these will be an examination of the development of a controversy that took place during the 1940's and early 1950's on the subject of the Covenant of Grace. -See the Hoeksma/Schilder Debate regarding the Covenenat of Grace below.

The second will be a translation of a chapter from the most definitive study that has been given on the lapsarian controversy in a book written in 1912 by the Dutch theologian, Klass Diik. De strijd over Infra- en Supralapsarisme in de Gereformeerde Kerken van Nederland (The Struggle over Infra- and Supralapsarianism in the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands.) The chapter given (as translated by Henry Bierling) is, Chapter 1, The Problem Itself.
